Residents Invited to Submit Questions Ahead of City Manager Public Forum Ahead of next week’s public forum with the candidates for the City of Wichita’s next City manager, residents are invited to submit questions via an online form here.
The public forum will be held from 5:30 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18 in Lotus Hall at Botanica, 701 Amidon. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. There will be a live stream of the event available here.
Questions will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Monday, November 17. Questions submitted on the form will be prioritized to be asked at the forum. While they will do their best, moderators may not have time to ask all the submitted questions. Guests at the forum will have the opportunity to submit questions to the moderator at the event, however, questions submitted online will receive priority. Each candidate will be asked the same questions. Candidates will appear in alphabetical order.
Public Forum Schedule
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Media will have a chance to interview each candidate individually in the foyer prior to the beginning of the forum. Forum begins David Niemeyer of CPS HR will ask questions submitted by the public to each candidate. Candidates will be interviewed in alphabetical order: Mark Frietag, Dennis Marstall then Donte Martin. After the final interview, candidates will be available until 9 p.m. to meet and greet the attendees. At the event, a QR code for a survey seeking input from the public on the candidates will be provided. A link will be posted under the stream for those watching online, as well. Responses will be provided to the Selection Committee for consideration.
