• The council approved the position of City Attorney’s Office: Policy Reform & Implementation Senior Advisor, and the associated scoring, grade, and salary range.
• The council adopted a legislative directive regarding temporary emergency shelter in public space during severe weather events. Ths was in response to the recent poor air quality event in Minneapolis. The directive was adopted by a vote of 10-1, with Council Member Vetaw voting no.
• Council Member Aisha Chughtai gave notice of intent to introduce at the next council meeting an ordinance on rent stabilization.
