The role of the Board of Health of the Summit County Combined General Health District is to adopt policies and secure funding through appropriate budgeting for programs and services to be carried out by the Health Department. The Board of Health has authority to make such orders and regulations as are necessary for the promotion of health and prevention of disease and the abatement or suppression of nuisances.
